if you enjoy a little moment in time in old fashion Nz Aotearoa this is the town to be in. Close to the sea like moments away from you, argriculture hub 5 mins to strawberry farms - history surrounding you not far to the ligthhouse on the manuakay harbour or to enjoy a stream train ride at glenbrook vintage railway. you can make your own greenstone pendant at the west coast jade and cabbage tree cottage. evan got a drop and go laundry service . personally i hung out at the Kentish Hotel bult by edward constable in 1853. from the outside balcony you can see the waiuku estuary where the large ships and scow once moored alongside the wharf. lovely people in the town. the pub downstairs on friday saturday night always had laughter and singing happening. (free entertainment) and there resturant serves good food and very roomy. and most important only 30min to get to akld central give or take a traffic jam at peak travelling time.

Waiuku is a growing town ideal for all walks of life, families, couples, singles, young and old. Its small enough to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the quiet country town, allowing you to soak up all its incredible history. If you are staying within the township you will find everything is within walking distance. Wonderful friendly people. Great west coast beach for nice long walks. Not to forget the vast choice of fine dining, cafes, fast foods and great shopping.

Do not expect to find anything open at 5am in the morning for a coffee 😂... but the bakery on Queen Street had lovely, yummy sandwhiches and the rest of the food looked really good. Lovely historical place to visit.
