We are situated at the north end of Awhitu Peninsula on a quiet sandy beach in a rural setting, whilst still keeping Auckland in sight. Just over an hours drive from Auckland, taking the Drury exit off the southern motorway. Travel to Waiuku then turn up the Awhitu Peninsula for approx 30mins, enjoying the rugged west coast views on the way. Matakawau is your last chance to stock up on supplies before you reach Orua Bay, 10km further on down the road. Stay in our very comfortable, self-contained units or camp on our spacious sites. Our facilities are spotlessly clean, with metered unisex showers and a huge disabled access/family suite. Nearby attractions: Awhitu Wines, Manukau Heads Lighthouse, Pollok Arts & Crafts.
